Medical Transcription

Medical Transcription

Medical transcription, also known as MT, is the process of Transcribing or converting voice-recorded reports as dictated by a physician or other healthcare professionals, into text format.

With the overwhelming demands on todays’ health professionals the process of maintaining records and written document is a huge burden. This is why the process of medical transcription came about. The physician or health professional will send us a voice recording of data that he/she would like transcribed into a text document; we in turn process the request and complete the request by delivering the document in the requested timeframe and format. Sometimes the medical transcription needs to be localized, so once the project goes through the transcription process, the document is then sent for localization, (this is only in cases where localization is also requested) post which it will be reviewed by a localization QA expert as well as a medical transcription expert. This happens simultaneously, so as to control the turnaround time of the project.

Our Process:

Receive the audio file

The audio file is received by the Project manager, who will create a quote and send it for approval based on the size of the file. Once the quote is approved the project manager will then send it out to our certified Medical Transcription expert.

Converting file

On receiving the file, the MT expert will review the file and then start converting it into a text document…which is then sent back to the project manager for next step.

QA

Once the project manager receives the transcripted file, it will then be reviewed by our in-country QA expert. Only once the QA process is completed is the file then approved and sent back to the physician/health professional.

Our team of medical transcription experts are certified and HiPPA compliant.
